So originally some Diablo 3 gamers decided to donate some gear to other gamers in the D3 discussion thread. Unfortunately, this also proceeded to clutter the thread with pictures of items. The moderators cleaned up the thread and suggested that we start a Freebies thread and that is where we now are. In order to keep this clean and organized I suggest the following guidelines.
First and foremost: OCN rules supreme over all so follow those first!
For people who want offered donations:
1. If you see a donated item you would like, send a PM to the person offering it. Please do not post what you want in here or post in here about claiming an item. This will only serve to clutter up the thread with meaningless posts and drown out the posts with donations.
2. Do not post how good or bad you think a donation is. You either want it or you do not want it and if you don't want it, simply move on please. Trolling or flaming someone for giving away free stuff to other gamers who actually may need it, is just not a cool thing to do.
3. Be mindful that these donations are meant for gamers that actually need them. Please don't abuse the goodwill of donators by getting items to resell at a price in the AH later on. That is simply not a cool thing to do either.
For those who are donating:
1. Don't make more than one post please. Simply post your donations in one single post that you continuously edit over time. This will keep the thread clean and uncluttered as well as avoid the need to have a single person updating the thread.
2. Do not donate garbage loot. While not all loot is created equal, "donations" of level 60 weapons with 150 DPS can obviously be considered "garbage" as no one actually would want it. Before you donate, please ask yourself this first; Is this something that anyone would actually want to use?
3. When a donation is claimed, please delete the picture to avoid confusion.
Let the fun (and freebies) begin!
