Im looking to buy a cool looking red led fan but not too bright for my exhaust do you think this fan will be good ? http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14514/fan-947/Prolimatech_Aluminum_Vortex_Series_140mm_x_25mm_CPU_Fan_-_Red_LED_1600RPM_127CFM.html?tl=g36c435s1105

Any suggestion ? And what does a exhaust fan need to be a good exhaust fan ?
there are no special requirements for an exhaust fan, it needs to move air. rolleyes.gif
A good fan is usually one that is acustically comfortable to YOU and moves as much air as possible at that noise level.
if you are happy with your phanteks fans, why dont you just get one of these?

the Aluminium Vortex is not bad, it's pretty loud @12V and is a bit overpriced obviously.

i know they are overpriced but on my local store its only 16 dollars i htoguht this was wrong so i double checked with another store and i got the same price so this is quite cheap for a cool looking fan and ill jsut play it on med settings 20 db isnt that loud.

it's a decent fan and if you like the looks there is no reason not to buy it imo.

For cheaper than that fan you can buy a top quality nibbler. Use that to remove your rear grill. Then you will not need any exhaust fan: your air will silently exit your case.

And remove all your unused backplane slot covers. Improves airflow past your graphics cards.

i would not want to destroy a brand new 350$ casae lol
also from my experience in a lian li 7FN: back exhaust > no back exhaust, and its Not like one less Fan will make a significant acoustic difference either if you otherwise use a big number of Fans AND a pretty loud Graphics card.

True. But if you have an unobstructed opening in the back you never have to worry if your exhaust fan can move enough air. The air moves itself.
