Need an opinion about this air flow.

This is how I've been thinking about setting up my fans, so that the cold air from the a/c goes through the radiator. (right now its basically the same thing except the 4 fans on my h100 are intake instead of exhaust)

My question would be, with 4 exhaust fans right after the rear intake fan, would that instantly pull all the cold air out of the case? Or would my graphics cards get some of that cold air?

I would keep the idea of having the h100 pulling air out from the fresh ac air coming right in of that corner, since hot air raises and blowing it back into a case would be counter-intuitive. You might consider flipping that bottom exhaust fan to a intake instead to help out with cooling your central heating (SLi 680's are pulling air into them, and pulling air away might not be as efficient)

Good luck thumb.gif

EDIT:fixed for being stupid.

*facedesk* Hot air does NOT raise, it goes where colder air is. That is usually up, due to space being colder. But in a computer case YMMV. So DON'T automatically think that.

Ah, thanks for your input and it makes sense about flipping the bottem exhaust fan, thanks!

You're right, I looked it up and it appears that hot air does not rise, but cold air does infact sink.

BUT!! the minute there is air movement from an outside source like a FAN the above rule does not apply thumb.gif

What ???

Hot air raises because it is less dense than cold air. BUT this is negligible as long as you use fans.

Okay, the differential pressure between hot/cold air makes them drop move up and down but the "hot air rises" statement has nothing to do with space air.
