In this case... I think it's better to buy a temporary low-cost monitor.
So you can resell or give away.

I dont know if there will be custom fees, I had bought a monitor imported from england last year and paid no fees. Hopefully there will be
no custom fees!

I think you have a 5% import tax from Korea (not so bad).

well , i do belive , its the same , but , maybe the glossy crystal counts as the display itself? and if that is true , then yes , the glossy crystal and the bezel is 1.2-2mm , but the ACTUAL screen , is 10mm away from the bezel

dont belive they are gonna release a different one with that radical change , from 10mm to 1.2mm true bezel , and even if they would do , i bet it will be a new design and a complete line of those panels . so , dont get your hopes up , at least u can OC to 75-80hz

Its a sad story, but the 1.2mm bezel is a marketing bull****. There was a lot of pictures here already, showing the actual 1.2mm metal bezel + 10mm black stripe around. The already released ips277 uses the same panel, and there you see it too.

If someone waited for a new shiny IPS monitor with a bit extra feature like me, this isnt it. We have to wait for other manufacturers releases later this fall.

Yes, it is established.
The 1,2mm bezel is for the front glass not for the panel.
All photos showing the image at 1.2 mm from the edge are fakes.
Very astute marketing...
rolleyes.gif

But...
Little surprise.
Various news are saying that these monitors use AH-IPS panels.

If confirmed...
This means that they are true 8-bit monitors with better viewing angle than e-IPS.
We will see...

P.S.
Some visible reverse ghosting (?)
Or maybe the overdrive is active in the top-left box.
I don't understand korean.

LG Flatron IPS237L

It seems that LG needs more time to make the most of this panel.
