Dat Bezel: LG IPS277L / DM2792 / DM92 | 27-inch (3D?) IPS Monitor - Page 10

I can fill you in on a couple of those questions, James. The IPS277L does not use the same panel as the TM2792 or DM2792. It has a different OSD setup and is not set the same out of the factory. Perhaps more pressing is that it is not a glossy panel with a simple matte screen protector over it but is actually a panel with a low-haze (light) matte surface similar to what you'd find on the U2713HM.

Many thanks! I'm debating whether to hold off til the DM2792 is released in the UK or just to get the IPS277L or AOC I2757FM now and hope it's up to scratch. Just looking for really good picture quality smile.gif

So how does this LG IPS monitor compare with the Yamakasi monitors in terms of image quality and responsiveness? Has anyone tried both?

Excuse me but you do not kill the Pol-Filter when you rip off the AG-Filter?!
Is the Pol-Filter inside the monitor (behind the glas)?

Monitors have a number of polarising layers. The LG TM/DM2792 is designed in such a way that it has a glossy outer polarising layer on the screen itself and then a peelable matte film on top. This is removable without disrupting the protective properties of the glossy surface.

No you wont destroy the polarizing filter when you take the AG coating off.
