That's what I did. Got my FSB to 340 (would only boot about half of the time) but can still only OC to like 2.65... oh well.

Hmmm, the MB does well over 300MHz... I recall around 340 stable in an article.
I'll do a little digging and see what I can come up with.
Dowwwp, sorry, pow3r... I was refering to the originators MB

Did you set the PCIe16 to 100MHz manually?
The chip set voltages... "Northbridge analogue voltage and one is Northbridge core voltage." there are claims they don't need to be increased but you may want to try upping them a notch one at a time to test for improvement.

I'll work again w/ the 4400+, but that's what I initally tried (i bought the FX-55 to try to get some better overclocking in....). As for the BIOS, i do believe i have the newest one (like 7-28-06), but i didn't know if someone knew of a better one that came earlier (or if that would make that much of a difference).

That's pretty much what I've tried... the real problem is though, that when i try to change the multiplier to anything other than the stock 13, the board just sits there for a while scrolling through the following sequence on the Debug LED's:

C1, 25, 29...pause...restart at C1 again

To get my computer back down in to the 10X multiplier, i had to wait 2 minutes before it would post as it ran through those steps....It really doesn't seem like it should do that at all.

I haven't set the PCIe16 to anything. When i asked earlier on the forum, i was told that PCIe's were held constant w/o you having to set them. I'll take a look again and try to see if that isn't right. Anyone know where that setting may be (if there was one?) As for the Chipset Voltages, i've tried everythin w/ them. Nothing really seems to help.

Anyway, thanks for the help... +reps all around

Something that just cought my eye.
Check you HDD and see if it is a "PATA" mode drive, I'm thinking it's not and you have that set.

Advanced SATA Feature>
RAID Function: Disabled
SATA Mode Select: Emulated PATA Mode

Don't know that that would effect the OCing but it may effect HDD performance if it's unnecessarly set.

If I could rep you, Duke, I would. Nice find. Hopefully it helps.

An just for the record, my 340 FSB was with a 5x CPU Mult, 1.425 V, RAM underclocked big time (DDR100)

The offer is bigger than getting a REP
Hope that previous link might shed some light on your OCing.

Alright, first thing's first, try setting the MAL and RP up a notch. Then set ALL of the northbridge/LTD voltages to 1.3v.

Contrary to the common belief, set the HTT to 4X. Granted I'm on an nvidia chipset but I've gained stability by upping to the 4X HTT link speed. (332FSB and I'm not the only one.)

DRAM strength is typically at 7 with your ram. Try that too. I've also found that PCIe frequency increases have given me stability in the graphics card arena (Again I'm not the only one. Most OCers who've come to this realization usually have stopped forum browsing) to the tune of 10MHz GPU and 30MHz memory on an xtx.

Several good points
Many MBs do excede the general 1080MHz wall of the HTT (LDT).
Also, and oddly enough as you pointed out, even though the general rule of a 100MHz lock on the PCIe is not allways the best setting overall. The harmonics come into play sometimes with a negative effect on OCing and can be positively effected with about a 10-12MHz increase.
