As I was reading this I was thinking to myself "Poor chaps, that's gotta suck. I'm glad I stayed away from Cisco stuff".

I have a Cisco router.. and I have had no such problems. This is kind of odd to hear.

I'm assuming this is only relevant to small home Routers of course. Of course there would be a lawsuit from hell if my companies several thousand Routers stopped communicating for this reason.

Hope they plan on paying for my data usage they encur? What? Damn right. That would be class action funny...

OT:
That said we have seen a supposed bug (Per Cisco) in the past with a 828 Day bug that did stop certain important Cisco devices cold. (Search and you'll see it) A Datacenter down event occured...and needless to say this one was huge and everyone was pissed about the application recovery and lost data.
