DGM 27" IPS Monitor Club

Official Site:

These monitors are similar to the Yamakasi Catleap, Achieva Shimian and Crossover monitors. The biggest difference in my opinion is that they're available to purchase through a UK retailer with a warranty, instead of through Korean sellers.

Thanks to ScribbyDaGreat for the great layout on the Yamakasi Catleap Monitor Club which I used as inspiration for this. Hope you don't mind dude.smile.gif

Included Accessories / Packaging (Click to show)
1x Dual Link DVI-D cable
1x VGA cable
1x 3.5mm Stereo Audio cable
1x 100-240V Power Brick (Manufacturer: Coming Data // Model No: LP-2460)
1x UK Kettle Lead
1x Base Stand
2x Screws for the Base Stand
1x Multilingual User Manual
1x Warranty Book

The monitors screen comes covered from the factory with a screen protector, and all the glossy bits are covered. The Styrofoam used is a soft, plushy type that feels like it could withstand more than one impact.

The Stand (Click to show)
The translucent neck of the stand doesn't seem like it can be removed without opening the monitor, although the base stand is detachable. These monitors seem to be similar to the Crossovers, so I'll research them to see what our options are.

DGM states that the VESA mount is 100x100mm. Since you can remove the base stand, mounting should be possible without having to open the monitor, it just won't look very good.

Current/potential Issues
Can it overclock?

Owner's spreadsheet (if you guys want it)

If you can't open the monitor without voiding warranty to remove that stand, it's a deal breaker for me.

Yeah, especially since the main advantage of this monitor is the UK warranty imo. I'll update the OP when it's confirmed, as I'm reading a thread on another forum where I think someone has e-mailed DGM and asked them if it voids the warranty.

Edit: Here's some info on the stand situation. Someone said this on another forum,
"as far as i can see, the stand is screwed on to a metal plate inside. looks like you will need to remove the 4 screws on the back, this will enable you to remove the front bevel and get inside and unscrew the stand."

And another guy said this,
I got an email from DGM which included...

Quote:
I have been told that you will need to take the back cover off to remove the arm which is sticking out. I have also been told that this shouldn’t affect the Warranty if you decide to go ahead and do it yourself.

It only goes part way in what I asked over the phone, and within my mail in total, so I'm left to assume that the arm is able to detach once the cover is removed.

What info d'you need dude? If it's about the stand situation, go to OCUK and read the thread they have on the monitor there. If I remember correctly it was around page 15 where they had an e-mail back from DGM stating that you do have to open the monitor to pull the stand off, and it won't void you warranty unless you break something. tongue.gif Dunno if I'd risk it. Haven't read the thread in awhile so there may be more updates.

Also, I remember reading something in that thread about them trying to press the button on the bottom right hand corner of the monitor, thinking it was a power button and accidentally breaking it by pushing it too hard. So watch out for that, the power button is actually underneath the screen with the rest of the buttons.

The biggest difference is it has other inputs, display port, vga, etc, like some of the new catleap etc models available, and if this monitor is like those, the input additions purportedly adds latency.

Does anyone have this monitor?

If so I need pictures and impressions, how reliable it is?

I've seen 1 forum post on another site showing some guy with 50-60 stuck pixels :/
