3xMolex on fan controller?

Ummm would it really be necessary to hook all three up? I don't see how it would make a difference unless you hooked each one up to a separate line going to the PSU (i.e. if you have modular, one per modular cord). Otherwise you're just drawing the power from the same wire regardless of how many connections you make.

Yea looks to be a good controller, I'm just surprised at the power connectivity.

it'll have 3 connectors just to spread the load - 4 channels at 50W each is 200W, or 16.6A at 12V. Thats a LOT of current for one molex connector to hande, so spread over two or 3 helps lessen any wire heating. If you are running way below the maximum, say up to 60W, one molex connection will be fine. Just make sure you connect to the one with the thick yellow wire to the board. If you hook up more than 100W of fans, i'd stick a second molex on just to help.

Ok that makes sense. Thank you

Another question on this, I am using Noiseblocker fans for my water cooling and would like to control all 4 (or will be 4 on the new setup) on one channel, so that I only have to buy one controller for the entire case. This is the datasheet for the fan and I'm using the M12-P. If I'm reading this right the M12-P only uses 2.64W at max power? Don't have much knowledge reading European specs but I am pretty sure a comma is equivalent to the American decimal. If that is the case one channel should easily handle 4 of those

As deafboy said, one channel will run 4 of those no problem. The germans do seem to use comma's in place of the dots. smile.gif

Ok. Thanks guys. I was just a little blown away that my high performance fans drew that little power. Especially when most controllers support 30w per channel.
