Temp. Question

Thread Starter
I have several cpu temp. monitors and I don't know which one is right.

Here is a list of programs and Idle Temperatures

Easy Tune 5 20c

Speed Fan 29c

Everest home 40c

Hmonitor 40c

PC Wizard 06 40c / core1 29c / core2 22c

Core Temp Beta core1 28c / core2 20c

I have an AMD 64x2 4800. I've read that the temps should never go above 55c. Which temps should not go over 55c, the core temps or the cpu temps, and what is the most accurate?

It is best to check the BIOS to find the closest to accurate temperature.

I would porb check it in the bios then boot and see which one matches most closely, if you could post a screen shot I might be able to tell. With out that however it's a shot in the dark.

Well I would get the most accurate reading from the BIOS. However as Easytune5 is a gigabyte program I would say thats most accurate..However speedfan is pretty good.

Sorry I don't know how to post a screen shot.

My Bios temps are at 23c if that helps

is that what it said on the cpu temp or board temp, that sounds a little low.

Man! I would kill to get my 4800 that cool! I am clocked to 2.7, but I have never had those kinds of readings. Aiboost shows 49*C, which is exactly what my bios says it is. You got your "puter in an ice box? What is your ambient temps?
