What's a better choice

Thread Starter
So I was searching on Craigslist for gaming computers with a gtx 580 and I found 2 at the exact same price but 1 comes with a i7 920 and 16 gb ram 850w psu and the other 1 comes with a i7 2600k 8gb ram and 650w I just want to know which one is a better choice ?

I would go with the 2600K hands down. You can easily run a 2600K and a 580 off a 650W PSU and it is going to give you higher performance then a 920 will. More ram is not going to help you at all with gaming since the second computer comes with 8GB already.

The system with the 2600K, but I would be very cautious of buying a system off Craigslist. You have know way of really knowing how the parts were handled, what could be wrong, and typically systems on Craiglist are highly inflated in pricing.

lol, the best thing to do is to buy parts when they are on discount and build up your rig yourself...
