To be fair, I don't think th 8150 is supported well enough for the board or any higher. Right now at stock CPU cooler, I have max speeds of 3.92Ghz instead of 4Ghz and at 85% loading on th CPU and 95% on the Gcard, Vrams go somewhere above 60 degrees on average of 10 during the day and 9 hours during the night with ambient temps of 5-17 degrees without crashing (won't be able to this during 25-40 degree days) could be a sign that this is the truly the limit of this motherboard, since you only spent $100 or less for a workstation motherboard.
Will boot and manually set voltage to see if I can get 4Ghz, as it was a month ago.
Not sure if that helps But, I like to problem solve, so after all the testing you've done, I believe that there is no more that can be done other than just getting a better mobo. Preferably one where an FX-8xxx will have no problems OC'ing above 4.5Ghz.
Sell the GA 970A D3 for $70 to some nut and save some more money to get a real motherboard. Visually the GEN 3 has an even better cooling capacity on southbridge chipset. It also features PCI gen 3.0 (not like that matters)
Only reasons I am getting an AExtreme9 is the OC capabilities are greater, 64GB RAM and Better looks (who has a brown computer?). Cooling, not worried as I've got copper machined full coverage water-block currently being on-hold for manufacturing.
