If LoL is what you mostly play then pretty much any modern laptop/notebook/netbook/etc should be able to play it with little/no problem.

If gaming is important to you, and if ever your gaming desktop is down for a while, would you be able to live not gaming during that "downtime"? If yes, sell the sager.

If you decide you may need a laptop not for gaming but for other purposes, then keep the Mac. Otherwise sell it.


It all comes down to whether you want to convert your backup plans to cash for a desktop and other gear, or keep them just in case is entirely up to you. I for one would keep at least 1 laptop, mainly due to the reason that nothing beat's having a portable PC to carry with you whenever you desperately need one.

There is also another factor to this, soon I will be leaving for college, and I havent decided if I want to take my desktop or not. If I don't it would be nice to have the Sager. What are your opinions on this?

Should I bring my desktop?

Yes, You definitely should bring it. Nothing beats the upgrade-ability and raw performance a desktop can offer. Unless you plan on lessening your gaming/cease playing games on good graphical settings for the duration of college..

The MBP would probably perform better, but this is ultra portable. You can game on the battery for a couple hours at the least I believe

DONT bring the desktop to college! I have my last 2 years and I've hated it everytime. Got my Sleekbook for my games now, as I won't be playing games as much, but itll still play them fine.

Bring the desktop an MBA for college use, I replaced my bulky gaming laptop for an ASUS U24E and never looked back.

Well, if you're heading to college it depends...are you flying or driving to said college? If flying and having to ship the desktop I would keep the Sager for gaming. If it's just a drive to your dorm then keep the desktop. I had to fly to my university a few years back for semesters and so the whole desktop thing didn't make any sense.
