7/4/12:
Hello Friendly OCN users. I am a noob. A huge noob. And I need your help.

Actually, I don't expect anyone to read this, which is OK, b/c I can use this thread as my own personal diary about the crap I'm going to go through.

First, a little about me:
-macbook user for last 4 years, prior to that I had an asus laptop for 4 years, and before that an imac for some time
-I'm broke, and have been my whole life, but for once I got a job that gives me a little bit of money so I'm blowing it all on this project and my wife is gonna kill me
-I know the basics of modding from this forum, but I have no clue about any of the little details

My plan:
-a crisp, mostly black, computer with a red watercooling theme
-I want to make it simple with a clean look, and I won't take on a challenge if it means risking a "home-made" look, so to speak
-due to finances and time constraints, this will be over many months

What I have officially bought, including tools:

Cooler Master 932 Advanced Case
153

Corsair Powersupply
500

Cooler Master Turbine Fan

500

Fan grills
245
TWO duals (I wanted to keep the four fan on side panel thingy going

245
for top of case

Fan Filters
245
(to place behind the grills so black flames over red background

Black and Decker Rotary tool w/ accessories + DeWalt Drill (+bit and drivers set)
450

Black and Decker jigsaw JS660 (+ assortment blade set and 5 bosch blades that look like theyd be good for metal)
330

Other goodies: safety glasses, metal file set, scotch double tape, pack of cheapest coolermaster 120mm fans, painters tape, 6-32 35mm and m4 10mm sized nylon bolts, washers and nuts, clear red and black acrylic sheets, weld-on 3 glue w/ syringe bottle, makeda hole saw, B&D cheapest hole saw set, circle template, grommets, cheapest 80mm fans, spray paints, sandpaper, temperature gauge, adjustable circle cutter
***edit*** the amount of extras I have now bought makes it difficult to list them all, but if you have a question just ask me.

pg 3 update: trying to figure out the front...
640

pg 5 update: window and side grill

that's like a drill that only uses 1/4 inch drive bits.. Welcome to modding by the way. I hope your wife is a patient sort, haha

Sooo I can drill holes in the case w/ this if I wanted to, right? redface.gif

The wife moved out of the house (job reasons) so I'm turning the living room into a work room.

the dewalt looks like an impact driver. its awesome for screwing things in, you almost need to apply no force, but i dont believe it has drilling capabilities
