Corsair TX650V2, Fan always at full speed?

Does anybody else with the same powersupply have this problem? It's by far the loudest part in my new system, even louder then the stock intel cooler. What should I do? Can I change some settings in the BIOS or should I voltmod the fan or replace it?

RMA the unit, it's defective.

It's not defective, the fan is just loud, it doesn't make any other noises than a fan should make, the problem is that it is always running at full speed. I've searched on google and I'm not the only one and a replacement unit didn't help in most cases.
It's not that loud that my ears will bleed but it is the loudest component in my system

It's always at full speed because the controller is defective, hence the unit is defective and it qualifies for RMA.

I came across this thread,I'm looking a a PSU that is more efficient with a cleaner power output, other than the rare faulty fan controller is the TX650 V2 still worth buying?

Yes, the TXv2 is still a very solid mainstream option, though you can usually find better ones for similar money.

Do you intend to buy it for your sig system?

Yes,either TX650 or TX750,the Antec EA-650 I'm running only has 1PCI-E connector, the other required connector for my 560Ti is just a 2x molex to 6+2 pin adapter. I don't plan to run SLI/CF so I'm not sure if I should just go for the TX 650.

You should check again, because to my knowledge Antec never sold an EA-650 with a single PCIe connector.;).. but then again, Antec is known to have some pretty odd market specific products.

In any case, all you need for that setup is a decent 450-500W PSU, where will you be buying from?(link the shop/s)
