Skyrim performs bad because of the bad optimization. Only use 2 cores...Meh. For me all the new games must have standard the 4-core setup. And the online games 6/8 core.

True, but I have a feeling AMD's not going to make the same mistake again. They should know after bulldozer that there's no point trying to challenge i7's (unless it's really good), so I see them targeting the i5's, and trying to steal that area of the market. I guess we'll have to wait and see....

And in the other review @ 1080p if you CLICK THE LINK there are some overclocked benchmarks of the 8120 @ 4.5ghz getting beat by the i5-2400 which cannot even be overclocked.

I know its i5's are better, I just feel it's unfair to have two CPU's clocked at different speeds against each other. And anyway I'm pretty sure anyone with a brain would pass on both the 8120 and i5 2400 for there big brothers, so that's kind of pointless.

Not really. The best way is to run independently-threaded benchmarks with explicit documentation on the workloads.

The reason they will probably come to market with a high price is because they know initially fanboys will buy it, just like bulldozer. I hate using that word, but you sort of have to describe anyone who bought an 8150 or really even an 8120 @ launch prices. They were priced essentially at the low end i7 (i.e. 2600k) price, but obviously couldn't compete and AMD knew that, but like I said they knew AMD fans would buy their overpriced crap anyway, even if it was worse than the competition, just because it was "new".

First of all, clock speed is pretty much irrelevant if they are different architectures. An i5 @ 4ghz and a pentium 4 @ 4ghz perform completely different. And like I said, in the tomshardware review they have the i5 2400 at like 3.1ghz stock and the bulldozer at 4.5ghz and it still loses to the i5.

I think thats a bit harsh. I don't think anyone could have known besides AMD that bulldozer would underperform so much. I was almost one of them, but I happened to be on holiday when it was released, so I had time to abandon the "sinking bulldozer ship" and went for an i7.

Skyrim actually does scale past two threads. Up to 50% load on the fourth core. The issue with the game is not neccesarily that it's unoptimized but that on the highest settings shadows are rendered by the CPU which can cause random and huge drops in performance. It's pretty rare though all things considered.
