Nothing will beat Max Payne 1 and 2. Truly amazing games. But... I did enjoy the 3rd one. Granted, it wont be remembered down the track like the first 2. But, It was alright.

And besides, I'd like to make a counter argument; Max Payne died when they released that god awful movie with Mark Wahlberg... Urgh...

anyhow, you do play as mr.scrath on american nightmare, it says on the description page of the game on steam, so that is true, and it is a spoiler because when you play the game you dont actually know you are playing mrscratch until the second to last chapter.

yo do play as him on american nightmare

in fact, it is implied that you even play as him on regular alan wake while the real alan is inside the cabin the whole time, although this isnt confirmed
