Total = $920 not including Taxes/Shipping/Rebates. You could probably, of course find this stuff cheaper somewhere else, but you wanted newegg so here it is. Also for overclocking you can get a hyper 212+ for 30 bucks if you wanna add that.

Thank you for this, but I'm posting in the AMD section for a reason lol. The 3570k is amazing yes, but iit's still more than i would like to pay for a processor.

Okay, so i give you a build within your budget with W7 that's probably better than anything in the price range and you still wanna go AMD? Okay, i tried. Good luck with your build.

AMD FX-8120 + GA-990XA-UD3 - $285 shipped, $10 rebate [Newegg]

Team Vulcan 2x4GB DDR3-1600 - $43 shipped [Newegg]

Zotac AMP 950Mhz GTX 560 Ti - $200 shipped [Amazon] << No better deal than that

Seagate Barracuda 7200.11  - $80 shipped [Newegg] 1.5TB @ 7200RPM and 2 year warranty

OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SSD - $90 shipped, $10 rebate [Newegg]

PC Power & Cooling MK II Silencer 750W 80+ silver 7 year warranty - $80 shipped, $20 rebate

CM Hyper 212 Plus - $23 shipped [NCIX] (better price)

ASUS 24X DVD drive - $17 shipped [NCIX] (no Newegg ODD is below $20 shipped, therefore they are all ripoffs)

Window 7 x64 SP1 - $85 shipped [NCIX] - get it here so you can activate the free shipping for over $50 orders at NCIX

^^^^^ Here's a random performance-oriented config at $903 shipped.  Overclockable, 8120 with a reliable 990XA and a 560 Ti for CUDA support and decent gaming with ample HDD size, a 120GB SSD, and a quality PSU and such.  Newegg and just two other retailers (NCIX and Amazon).

Best end option really depends on how you want to balance things - i.e. how much HDD (or SSD) space you need and such.

We get it, you're trying to be "right" and suggest the intel to me. I am in no way comfortable paying $230 for a processor that will in no way benefit me except for an average of 12 fps in games and a couple seconds faster in other things. I said thank you and explained why i do not want it so try not to get so offended about it.

Hey Master Roshi. What video and audio editing software will you be using?? I'm using Avid Studio and Sonar X1 on my little 965 setup.
