Wow... when I tried to offer free email hosting, my thread was deleted and I was warned for "advertising a service". Complete BS.

Nice service though smile.gif

Probably due to the fact that OCN offers a paid service for E-Mail. Plus; this is 100% a learning experience for myself and OCN.

Running into some trouble with the ZFS, it's not self creating the mount point. I found some documents that explain why, and it might take a bit.

I have nothing wrong with this thread, I encourage it actually smile.gif With my email service you wouldnt have gotten an @overclock.net address anyway, which is probably the main reason people buy them

Alrighty folks, time for an update.

I'm at work connected into one of my Sun servers attempting to create a test zone still. I am able to start the installation, finally, but it fails on additional packages with a generic error. I'm trying it again, to make sure it wasn't my fault. thumb.gif

Here is the error:
Code:

  Installing: Additional Packages (output follows)
Creating Planpkg: 'SUNWbip' matches multiple packages
        SUNWbip
        compatibility/packages/SUNWbip

ERROR: failed to install package

As I mentioned in Post #1 this system will be connected to a dynamic IP and I'll create a hostname. Everyone will have the same IP/Hostname, but different ports.

Best I can do at this moment.

Oh, sorry redface.gif

I read your other thread about using a VPS/VPN to use their IPs. I had a similar thought about doing that aswell. It really seems like it could work but you'd need a VPN client to handle the connections, and have that pass the connection through a router that can assign the IPs with 1-1 NAT. I wanted to try it, but didn't want to shell out the monthly cost for something I was unsure would work smile.gif

Yeah I thought it was a good idea. If you go with Chicago VPS new system in New York you get 2 IPV4 addresses for $7 a month. thumb.gif

Alright after a package update I was able to create the zone. I'm going to perform some tests and hopefully tonight I'll have some ready for folks.

Buyvm.net in San Jose offers IPs for less than $1/month. I have a /29 for only $5 additional. I requested it to be SWIP'd too, they handled it all thumb.gif
