Its about time! Alot of you guys know I been waiting since the X1950XTX came out to get these drivers. I'll have to get you guys the low-down on benchmarks with my setup and the new 6.10's as compared to the stock drivers included on disk.

I almost didnt think this day would come!

Before these drivers I needed 1.500v to get 722 core, now I only need 1.425v.....time to up the voltage and push for more, I reckon I can ease past 800 with 1.500v probably more

lol what's funny I get like...11111 on my old system with a 3700+ @ 2.8ghz and my x1900xt. or that might have been on my all stock conroe rig...

Ok, well I havent noticed any serious changes thus far as far as gameplay goes. I have only run one benchmark since updating and I must say there is quite an improvement there with the 1950XTX. My AquaMark3 score went from 104xxx to 108xxx. A very decent increase from something as simple as a driver update. But as I had preached all over this website since getting this card, ATI had told me both in emails and over the phone that the X1600 to the X1950 would be getting really great performance increases with the 6.10's... more so on the X1900 & X1950, since driver support from ATI had been kinda flimsy from the release date of both cards.

Has anyone else run any benchmarks? What kind of improvements have you seen? I'll post mine here once I get them finished. Also, I'm really hoping that 3DMark/PCMark will allow me to publish my scores now with the new driver updates... with the old drivers it was showing my card as being a Generic VGA with a gpu speed of 10 and a GDDR4 Ram speed of 22! LMAO! I'll have to check on that right now, now that I think of it.

I have played tons of games on these drivers. Compared to 6.9, 6.10 drivers has games running so much smoother. Gothic 3 when i played it before the patch i had like around 28fps and now i have around 34fps. Also all other games seem to have the same increase in performance as well.

Ok, I take back my previous post. After a couple of hours @ Battlefield 2142, and then an evening of Prey - both at MAXED settings & res - I too notice the difference, especially in Battlefield. With the settings maxed before, I would get some slight lag here and there when the screen was filled, but I played for hours last night and today still at max everything, and didnt skip a single frame. Prey too seems much much more smooth, totally noticeable when the HDR kicks in... thank god for ATI! I couldnt imagine not having HDR and AA run together like nVidia. I'm going to try a few more games today and see how they fare as well.

Whats cool is that I've read on a few sites allready that the 6.10's have boosted Crossfire performance on the ATI Xpress 3200 chipset by well over 15%. I may have to pull out the X1950XTX and pop in my dual X1600's just to see how they do... Man I gotta get a 1950 Crossfire master card... Then NOTHING will touch me! Muah-ha-ha-ha-haaa!
