Looking for a cheap, but extremely solid board. It's really important that this build be flawless. It could lead to a 50+ build contract. Here's what I have so far

CASE

PSU

HD

RAM

DVD Burner

I'll prob switch the rear fan out to a 92mm. With the right motherboard, I think anyone would be happy to use this machine.

:EDIT:

I've been looking over the 1155 options at newegg. What do you guys/gals think about the B75 chipset? It seems like it would be a good option for what I need.

Here are the the two I'm eyeballing. I hear gigabyte was having trouble with some of their chipsets, but I LOVE gigabyte boards. I've had some really good experience with them. Let me know.

asrock

gigabyte

hey i have a B75M-D3H and i gotta say it is a fantastic little board. I actually am working on it now i have it in my main rig because all my other boards are on the test beds.

GB provides me boards to test and review, here is my review of the D3H: http://www.overclock.net/t/1265107/gigabyte-b75m-d3h-review-with-intel-small-business-advantage

Let me say man, you will really like the B75M-D3H board, i haven't found any issue with it. What CPU are you using? I recommend using Ivy Bridge with the B75 chipset, that way you get all the technologies.

GIGABYTE had some issues with Z68 because they didn't fully adopt the UEFI standard, but with X79 and Z77 they have fully adopted it.

IMo if you are going to build so many, buy both and see which you like better.

I forgot the processor redface.gif

I'm looking at the G620 or the G850. An Ivy Bridge is way too expensive. They were using a Dell Dimension E520. A complete piece of :poop:. The Sandy Bridge will be a welcome upgrade.

Since I will be going for a cheaper CPU is there any reason I should use the D3H over the D3V? The more I can save the more I make. For around $400 with an OS, these would be some decent computers.

Try the DV3, however you know it comes with less features than the D3h right?

In my opinion though, go with B57, it has many features for small business and large ones alike that just don't show up on other platforms, mainly in that SBA software which comes with the board. You can have all the PCs shut down at the same time, you can protect the anti-viruses, block out certain USb devices. One big thing is the data backup and restore, which is built into every one of the PCs. You can also schedule windows tasks like defragmentation without even being there, which is a big plus as you don't expect businesses to do things like that.

I didn't really see any major features that would make a difference in how the computer would be used. I need to build a few faster towers too, so I think I will step it up to the D3H when the time comes. Thanks for all your help. thumb.gif

yea no problem man. but i recommending doing a test system first, order one systems, memory, CPU, drives. To just to make sure everything is compatible. You are basically doing teh job of a systems eingeer , they sit there all day trying to find the least incompatbilities.

Also 1 thing, B75 chipset doesn't' have 200mhz(100mhz) dividers for memory, it has the 266(133mhz).

So 1600=12x133
so 1866=14x133
So 2000mhz=15x133

So on and so forth, so all the memory dividers you see on Z77 wont apply, like 2600 wont work, 2200 wont work, however some dividers like 2800will work as they would use 21x133.

I'd change the memory to Kingston, g.skill isn't exactly known for their memories compatibility, nor the quality of their lower end products.

It's going to be quite the undertaking. I'll be building a single tower first. I need to make sure it all works and the boss needs a new computer now.

1333 would = 10 then right? The G850 only supports up to 1333MHz anyways.

I haven't really used any lower end G.skill ram. I've always had good luck and been satisfied with them. I had some G.skill DDR2 that I overvolted like mad and they held up for years. If you think it will make a difference I have no problem with Kingston. I'll snag some hyperX. Thanks.

the G850 and all SB only support 1333 lol or some say 1600, but the B75 chipset allows for higher memory multipliers wink.gif

yea all the memory multipliers that SB has, will be available, however the new memory multipliers that IB has added to it wont all be available, but the higher ones will like 26.66 and 28.00.

The 133MHz dividers won't really matter if I'm running stock speeds will it? I understand that this could be a problem if I was OCing, but I don't understand how it could be a problem if I'm just looking to run everything stock.
