Still no integrated VOIP?

Honestly I wouldn't want VOIP in-game. There's enough immature n00bs online that trash talk each other because they don't know how to adjust network smoothing.

It's much like CS 1.6 Russian walking/crouch hopping. Banned from many public servers that are filled with players who have mediocre at best aim and have no idea how to use it to their advantage. Russian walking is technically banned in leagues too after three hops, but most players only actually used it for a few hops anyways.
The AWP is banned in many public servers, as well because players are too lazy to learn how to counter it. You need to stop comparing public servers and pub players who are clueless at the game they play. A clueless pub player never learns how to counter anything when it comes to the mechanics of a game.
The fact that DICE continues to listen to these exact same individuals is why the game is constantly changing and not for the better. The gun mechanics were fine on release, a few viable guns is all you need. The rest are just fun guns.

There is nothing skillful about hitting prone before anyone else, its just stupid. I remember I used to do it and then got banned off a server for it, then I stopped doing it until DICE eventually patched it out. They would not have done that unless it was a plague on gameplay, once they did bf2 was alot better minus the shoddy hit detection.

I mostly play alone. Tried a few servers but had no luck.

I wish I could talk to my squad at the very least. Like hey, got a chopper, i need a gunner. Need an engineer to remove the tank at B, sniper at the antenna, etc.

I understand many people are now using teamspeak on their clan server, but I suspect a majority to be left with no team communication whatsoever and that is sad for a game based on teamwork.

Couldn't agree more. I play alone as well because none of my friends game anymore or have PC's that can handle BF3 so single player gets pretty aggravating without talking. I should probably try joining a clan.

For a game that pushes cooperation over Lone wolfing and Ramboing it should have voice chat no questions asked.

They should just add it. Options are nice to have.

They should add it. along with the ability to mute people. Just like online Source games.

I agree with you on squad chat and VOIP should be restricted to squad chat only with the ability to mute squad players.

haha.
The default network settings in every single BattleField game has been for the most part terrible. They set it for players with bad connections as a default, and only those who are use to messing with config files will know that they need to change the network settings to optimize their experience.

Can you link me to some good threads?

I had no idea that I would have to "fix" the game to make it play right... redface.gif.
