3 EVGA GTX 670 FTWs. 3 noisy, overpriced pieces of junk. 3 RMAs.
You should post back with which card you picked and its aural and OC performance so other people looking for quiet, decent performing cards have some anecdotal information to consider.

I will. It's just I can't find the ASUS, the one I've choosen, on stock anywhere smile.gif

I'll post my impressions once I put it on my system.

Yeah, they should rename it the Asus DC2 MIA edition; I'll be getting a Windforce and will post an objective comparison between the two cards (my ire with FTW should be extinguished by then). I'd prefer the Asus but I don't see that coming back in stock anytime soon at Amazon so Gigabyte it is...

go with the gigabyte windforce for a balanced overall card. it's the one I've heard/seen the least issues with and is one of the best selling. as someone who bought a DC2T, I can say forget it. not only is the card a gamble, the company behind it is just plain bad to deal with if anything goes wrong, and this is far from only my experience.

Believe me, I would LOVE to, but the gigabyte doesn't sound as quiet as I wish it sounded! Simple as that frown.gif

REALLY??? You have no idea how great this sounds to me. Even my girlfriend was trying to help me with the hunt for this card (maybe she's doing so for the quietness of it tongue.gif)

I'll be patiently waiting the arrival of the card, as well as your paypal email biggrin.gif:D:D:D

Wait, you already HAD a Windforce? Or are you saying you don't think it will be as quiet as you hope based on user feedback? Many users and reviewers rate the GB fairly quiet under 55% and also report the card stays sub 70C at those speeds as well, so if this is not the case I'd very much like to know.
I've got about a week for Amazon to process my refund so I'm weighing my options...

BTW I initially went with EVGA precisely to avoid the same customer service nightmares PureBlackFire has experienced with Assus. Really wish they had a card worth a damn but FTW is definitely FTL...reference design is crap - traps heat, roasts the innards until forced to hit cyclone speeds to properly vent/cool, so all that talk about "doesn't expel hot air into the case - superWOWs!!" is crap. Never again.

Never had it, but I based my decision basically on this review:

It is a quiet card, but not as much as the ASUS.
The thing is the asus card is a huge lottery. It might work or not. In case it works, there how much you can push it. The gigabyte seems to have the best statics among both of them.

that sucks toolio20. it could be worse, it could be a reference 670 design instead of a 680 reference design winksmiley02.gif. I'm going a totally different route soon. HD7950 TF III
