Stop Getting Large WUs??

Thread Starter
I'm back folding and I just got this WU yesterday. It's a project 10127 with a base credit of 3262 I was wondering if there was any way to get rid of this size unit. It's got a TPF of about 30 minutes on my current rig (i5 760@4.0GHz) and it's giving me horrible PPD (dropped from 15K to 9K). Granted I am folding on my GPU and CPU so I know I'll be taking a hit from that but with other units I was still getting nearly double the PPD. Also I can't even game in between WU since this one is at 62% and still has 19 hours left!! I know on the old folding clients when you were setting up the client you can set the size of the WU that you want and then set up a short cut where you can insert flags. With the new client that has it's one GUI I don't know if it is done the same way. Would I simply create a shortcut and under the target section add the flag? Also which would I add to get rid of these massive WUs?

[Edit]
This is also running without aero to try boost my PPD when I'm not on the computer (aka at work, class, and overnight).

Alright. I added that to the bottom "Extra slot option" section and hopefully I'll get a nice medium size WU. Right now I still have a pretty small 8013 unit that gives a base credit of 180.60. I definitely wouldn't mind getting more of those though. They are currently netting me about 17K PPD and that's while folding on my GPU as well.

Yeah I really like those small base point units too. They go quick and give pretty good results.
I don't think the small/normal flag will work 100% of the time, you may still grab some of those large units, but it should trim down the amount that the server gives you.

Good luck:)

Yea unfortunately I ended up having to dump that WU because the ETA was constantly changing. I would go to sleep with it saying I had 19 hours left and wake up with it still having 19 hours left. I don't mind the smaller WU's except for the really tiny ones but those big ones just kill me because the way the bonus is calculated I can't stop in between WU's to game or do anything intensive with it.
