My Small Budget Build - Looking for CPU Cooling Ideas and Helpful Advice

I'm building a new gaming machine with the following;
  • Antec Twelve Hundred V3 Black Steel ATX Full Tower Unbeatable Gaming Case
  • Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
  • ASUS GTX680-DC2O-2GD5 GeForce GTX 680 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
  • Antec High Current Pro HCP-1200 1200W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Yes, High Current Hybrid Cable Management ...
  • CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Desktop Memory
  • ASUS Sabertooth X79 LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
  • ASUS Black Blu-ray Burner SATA BW-12B1ST/BLK/G/AS

I've seen a lot of post about the Corsair Vengeance RAM and their height issues with the CPU coolers. I want to get a I7 Sandy Bridge Quad core with a CPU cooler. Does anyone have suggestions on a decent cooler that doesn't interfere with the RAM slots for that type motherboard? Or maybe a tweaked build idea. Thanks and I appreciate input.

The CM212 MAY interfere with the ram slots...my TX3 did but it was only alittle bit bigger.
i have vengence ram and it interfered with the slots...

the cm212 may block the closest memory slot but the other 3 slots are clear for sure. You should look for low profile memories as the heatsink on the ram are merely aesthetics.

lol, small budget build. What a monstrosity. Your ram is a serious problem. You probably can't go for a reasonable tower cooler. Going to have to pony up and deal with the price & noise of an enclose water cooling solution like the Antec 620 or one of the corsairs. Don't forget to also buy another fan directed onto the motherboard to cool it, since you'll no longer have the help of an air cooler's fans.

Jonsu, Any suggestions for low profile RAM that are pretty good these days or are most name brands pretty reliable?

MisterFred, The additional fan for the motherboard... With all the fans that come with the Antec Case, your still suggesting an additional fan directed at the MB? It will seem like quite the wind storm in there! LOL

Well, in my opinion it's a bad choice of case & cooler & ram. But I assumed you already purchased those.
