Need Help Plz!!! 4.5GHz on Asus P9X79 WS

Howdy OCN´s! thumb.gif

I intend to make an over of 4.5GHz in this mobo and having some difficulties in finding the best setting´s in the UEFI.
The only need is that HT should be set to off.
My general system is: above mobo + i7 3930k + 16G 2133MHz Quad Channel Corsair Dominator GT + Corsair Water Cooler H100 + PSU Corsair 650TXV2
Can someone help me with the process?
Thks in advance!

I would suggest reading this a time or two.
http://www.overclock.net/t/1189242/sandy-bridge-e-overclocking-guide-walk-through-explanations-and-support-for-all-x79-overclockers

Using those methods, and then if you still have issues, make a thread about what issues you may be having.

Ok, thks, but it´d be better to have a more straight process as i´m new to overclock and don´t know how i should correctly set specific parameters in Asus P9X79 WS UEFI.
If someone has the same mobo and has an over of 4.5GHz at least on it could help me posting some of their UEFI´s screens so as i can avoid entering wrong values.
As i stated before i need to have Hyper Threading off, can i use the same values for HT on and off?
I very much appreciate any help, thks!
yeah should be fine...but why HT off?

Kind of defeats the purpose for a highly multi-threaded CPU to disable extra threads, unless you are only using for gaming. Even then it isn't likely going to give you any benefit to turn HT off

I´ll use this 4.5GHz over (just for it) to put my machine to play chess against others and in the manual of the chess program that i have says that it´s better to have HT off.
What´s the vcore max to have a stable 4.5GHz?
I noticed that when i ran asus autotune program that it decreases the frequency of the memories to 1922MHz and their frequencies are 2133MHz, also that vcore goes about 1.4V, i´m affraid of using this value so i´ll try 4.5GHz and less vcore.
What about the temps? What should be the max for running 4.5GHz?
Should i use XMP or manual in Ai Overclock Tuner for 2133MHz memories?
Sorry, but i´m new to overclocking! doh.gif

I can't imagine a chess program where it will matter one way or the other enough to make a noticeable difference. How old is the program?

As to your vcore question. It really depends on the chip, some will be able to get 4.5 at very close to stock voltage whereas others will require even up close to the 1.4 range if a very bad chip. Mine seems to be around 1.3-1.32 for 4.5ghz but again your mileage will vary.

I see that you are from Brasil - what about ambient temperatures? Be careful with this processor on high ambient temperatures! In my opinion anything bigger than 25 degrees require extreme CPU cooler

Well, things deviated a little bit from the topic in question, but i´ll explain.
Quote:
I can't imagine a chess program where it will matter one way or the other enough to make a noticeable difference. How old is the program?
Houdini chess program is not only new but one of the best chess programs in the world, his site is: http://www.cruxis.com/chess/houdini.htm
And as you can see there´s a link to his user guide Houdini Chess Engine User's Guide, clicking there and in item 3.4) Cores and Threads Management, they recommend not using HT.
All i want is a 4.5GHz in this mobo using as less vcore i can.
I found this link about Johnny Utah´s confs: http://www.overclock.net/gallery/album/view/id/691804/user_id/56326
Can use as a guide as we have major components similar, but this guide is for an over of 4.8GHz, but for my purposes i prefer to stay in 4.5GHz.
The question is: Which values from the pics should i lowered in addition to Core Ratio?
Anyone that overclocked in this platform can help me in a over of 4.5GHz on it?
Any kind of help is welcomed, thks!

Change core multiplier to 45
Change VCore Offset mode to "-" sign
Change value of offset voltage to 0.10 (if doesn't work increase by one step)
CPUVCCSA change to manual and apply value 1.1V
Anything else do like on pictures
