Storing Arctic Silver 5

Thread Starter
Hi, I applied Arctic Silver 5 to my Intel i3 2100. Now I want to know how and where to store the paste, I've got loads of it left in the tube. I know we should keep it tip - down and in a cool place to slow down the particle - suspension separation but would it be okay to store it in a refrigerator or will the refrigerator's moisture damage the product in long term? Also, I'm running Intel dh61ww and the pch is always staying at 55C. So it this pch the southbridge chip on the motherboard and can I apply the same paste on this chip too?

I keep mine in a room temperature box laying sideways and it seems to keep just fine. I suppose the refrigerator would do fine to as some of my thermal glues a keep in there.

I just leave mine laying on the side. Never had any issues. But I pull back the plunger and clean the tip off before putting on the cap. You can use it on anything that has a heat sink. Just don't use too much and make it build up heat though. Thanks
