That is correct. His modem is going to be in a different subnet, since it's going to bridge with his wireless buffalo router. That is the typical residential setup. What is the gateway on your computer?


I'm 99% sure that any port forwards should be on the buffalo device. I would just leave your modem alone.

just to let readers know that im not hi jacking this thread. so moving on, my gateway on my pc is 192.168.11.1 thats why my computer is 192.168.11.xx. im having trouble getting any port to open in my router T_T
