I love this thing.
To elaborate on my previous statement, I'd like to say that my stock 6970 (the main one powering the monitors) was idling at nearly 60c. Sometimes over. Keep in mind this is on 30c days (86F). It was getting toasty, and having this bad boy toasting my office up wasn't helping. So I bought 2 Accelero Extreme Plus II's from NCIX for a pricematched $55 a piece. Installing one at a time currently cause of the cure time (2 6970s), and even though I know IDLE temps aren't important, I will say I'm impressed. An average of 58-65c has been taking DOWN to an average of 42-45c right now (keeping in mind its summer). Do like.
Only issue I had was that the manual was lacking, but thanks to google, which mostly led me to these forums, and youtube for heatsink placement...I love this cooler. DEAD quiet too.
Only thing I wish I could do is keep the backplate on my card:P
However, yeah.
TL;DR: Accelero Extreme Plus II on 6970 = MAGIC in my pants. In case anyone was wondering.
That is all.
