Well i got my new H100 and damn, this is what u call a big difference:

Idle: 10c
Full Load: 33c

Very happy with that, however.....oh no 15 mins of Prime 95 my PC screen went black and didn't come back. No error, no BSOD, nothing.

The fans and everything were still running the PC was at 33c when it happened so wasn't an overheat. The PC would not turn off i had to pull the cable out the back.

Then it wouldn't turn back on either, i left the cable out 10 mins and tried again. Booted to windows fine, and now seems to be working normally.

Checked event log, nothing....

I am however not using stock settings, i am using the Profile1 (AMD's version of XMP) for my Corsair DDR3 2000mhz RAM which does seem to have changed more than just the memory clock. However the clock on my PC is basically the same the only voltage increase was on the DRAM to 1.650v which is what it needs.

I am not really knowledgeable on overclocking so i dont know what half the stuff is but i do know my CPU is:

Clock 3624mhz
x14.5 Multiplier
Bus Speed 250mhz
Core Voltage 1.284v although it just changed to 1.272, now its 1.296...hmm ok im lost with this now
NB Freq 2250mhz
DRAM Frequency 1000mhz using 1.650v

Cool & Quiet is disabled, Smart fan control disabled.

Very confused, any advice guys?

That's core temps correct? 10C is a false reading. It's not high enough for the algorithm to accurately give an accurate reading at idle. 33C is about right which means your Tcase is around 48C.

You said "NB Freq at 2250", WHICH NB freq? The "NB"? or the CPU/NB?

Yeah 33c is the core temp under load the socket is about 45c so heat isnt an issue. As for the NB i think its the CPU NB but honestly i dont really know much about this area.

All i did was enable profile1 in the ram which altered my bus speed nb freq mem clocks and multipliers etc.

But since it crashed im guessing it doesnt like something, which is odd because its a built in profile for the ram.

It will be listed in the bios/uefi as "CPU/NB". One thing I've noticed on mine. It gets REALLY finicky and unstable when the CPU/NB freq is at 2250 or higher and RAM speed is over 2000. That's why I stick to just a multiplier OC so it allows me to run the mem at 2133. I have the CPU/NB at 2200 @ 1.2V with the HTT (NB) at auto (stock is 2600) and it runs perfectly at 4.6GHz. My advice is that if you want to run a base clock and multiplier overclock that you keep the CPU/NB at or below 2200 and then test various RAM speeds to see how high you can take the RAM and still remain stable.

The NB Frequency is listed on the Memory Tab in CPU-Z this is what i was referring too, dont know if that helps.

To be honest i didn't like the way it was changing setting to run at 2000, i cannot get 2000mhz on multiplier only though, either 1866 or 2133 the ram is Corsair CMX8GX3M2A2000C9 9-10-9-27-51 i have no idea if its able to run at 2133mhz

To be honest when i tried E.O.C.P it had every type from 1066 > 2400 + Profile1, none of the other profiles would work however the timings are TOTALY wrong on auto when using these profiles but on Profile1 they are correct.

I will write down the timings from Profile1 and test 2133, i would assume they would remain the same. I will post back later the results

Thanks for the advice

Ok well i reset all setting to auto, set the memory clock for 2133mhz PC booted till it got to windows loading screen then BSOD.

Change the mem clock to 1866mhz tried again, got into windows seemed ok. Ran Prime95 and got: FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.

When trying to stop tests while prime95 stopped using CPU "System" started using 100% and my PC basically locked up.

I have just reset everything to auto (So ram is now at 1066) and am 15 mins into a prime95 test with no errors.

Something if definately wrong but i really dont know what i am doing wrong.

I Will say though, unless my chip is reporting the wrong temps i am sat 15 mins into prime95 test and the cpu core is at 28c smile.gif

For some reason CPU-Z says my modules are in slots 3 and 4 when they are in 1 and 3......but never mind

I also dont quite understand JDEC 3 and 4, those mhz dont line up to anything i am aware of? shouldnt it be 800 / 933 ?
