hey guys, didnt know if you knew about this but i just found out and i really like how they look:

what do you guys think?
i know ram doesnt really need to be watercooled, and that its mainly for aesthetics but seeing as i was planning on buying a Mips Ram block, these might take my money instead.

BUT I HAVE ONE PROBLEM. i dont have corsair dominator ram

guys think they'll be any way to make it work without the dominator ram?

I really doubt it will work on non-Dominators. Most of RAM sticks do not have the completely flat surface of Dominators (after you remove the top fins) so the block would be touching very little of the heatsinks of any other RAM, making the already little advantage into a useless one.

If you are looking for light over RAM, why not get a blue LED fan for RAM?

maybe using a single stick module like this could work:

the ram fan led lighting is too bright for me. and im looking for interchangeable lights anyway, as i plan on using red 3mm leds for this block.
i have the corsair ram fan but its time to move on.

I was very tempted to get the EK RAM blocks for my new build but the cost of having to buy two blocks plus a set of Dominators was just too ridiculous considering it would be purely for aesthetics...

I know, I stated that in the first post, but yes im hopeful i can dig up something about getting these to work. I emailed XSPC and asked them about it, hopefully i can get some good response out of it.

i hear ya, i was wanting to do the same thing. when i was looking at ram i realized how many excellent sets of ram there are out there that dont have the over priced name of corsair dominator all over them.
went with gskill, been happy with em since.

got an update for ya guys!

i emailed xspc about this and they are in fact designing additional plates that can be mounted to the block to accommodate non-dominator series ram.
expected release is just a few weeks.
