Antec HCP-750

Thread Starter
So, the deal is I bought an Antec TP-750 from an OCN member and it made an ungodly, very loud buzzing noise while under load from the GPU. I RMAed it and the replacement did th exact same thing. Rather than RMA the second one as Antec has said I should do, I plan on trying to get it swapped out for a different model. It's too damned much of a coincidence for two units to have the exact same problem. However, the thing I've loved about the TP-750 is how quiet the fan is during idle, an attribute I consider essential in a PSU. My question to you all: does the HCP-750 have comparably little fan noise during idle, and if not, is there another model around 750w that does?

I have the HCP-850 and can vouch for a quiet overall fan, idle and load. these psus are beasts btw! Put out alot more power than advertised.

Just sent you information on contacting Antec's customer support team. Email them with your RMA number and you should be good to go.
