Apart from a killed cop according to the Wikipedia article, I can't grasp what's so special about Lakeland, Florida. Would you mind explaining?

Edit: Just read the rest of the answers which somehow spawned by the time I answered... Dishastur, were you referring to the fact that cheap is better? If so, http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-3-5mm-Jack-Audio-Adapter/dp/B0058P0I2C is pretty much the cheapest option you have. Sorry about your disability, I kinda "know" how you might be feeling without getting into personal stuff...

Also, I just checked some stuff about remapping the microphone port to a headphone port and that's not possible. That's because your desktop motherboard uses a DAC that's connected to both ports while most cheaper sound cards/chipsets like those used in laptops have a different DAC for the headphone port and the microphone port.

Cheaper is most DEFINITELY better.

As far as warranty, I have one...but since my grandfather's house has a roach problem (and he doesn't listen to me), Toshiba refuses to touch the computer, stating that because they saw a roach, it's a biohazard.

I figured I was SOL as far as remapping this laptop's ports. The ex's new laptop can do that, but it's a LOT nicer.

Mine is a L775D-S7220, hers is a P775D-S7144.

Hopefully the lawyer I got will get my disability done fast, and I can just go out and buy a Qosimo. That would be a blast.

Anywho, thanks everyone for the help.
