ultrabook or tablet ?

Thread Starter
Im seling my samsung qx411 which was a beast laptop for 550$ no one really heard about it but damn was this a faithful laptop.
im working a lot making schedules and need quick access to the web and email so thats why im considering a tablet.

the transformer infnity tf700t to be exact.
as far as ultra books go the new samsung series 9 looks promising and the zenbooks look pretty good. my main concern is fast boot up time, ability to run slight games in window mode ( mostly online mmo-s) and do quick processising of office work and video and music rendering. for the tablet id only want to spend 600 +120 for the keyboard dock acessory.

for an ultrabook id like to spend no more than 1.2k perferable 1k . help ? i feel like soon laptops are going to die off

Zenbook is in my opinion the best ultrabook in terms of looks, performance, and size/weight. Series 9 would probably be my second choice, but I don't think it has a dedicated GPU. If you want to spend more though, the Sony Vaio series has a few ultrabooks.

The only thing about the zenbook though, is that it's about $100 more than what you want to spend.

If you want to go the tablet direction, the Infinity 700 would be my top choice too. Awesome screen, ICS, and great performance.

The Asus ux32vd has the GT620m + HD4000 in N.Opti. It also has the 13.3" IPS 1080p screen. However, it's a little over your budget.

Just what he said. It has a gt620m plus the integrated Intel 4000. It will switch between them depending on how much load you put on it.

-_- i like it. i may save up for it but with 4 gigs of ram that u cant upgrade, i just feel like its blah.

so between a transformer infinity, the zenbook prime, and a samsung series 9 what would u pick, i feel like so many IPS panel ultrabooks are going to come out soon at a better pricepoint during the fall D:

I think you already know you need a ultrabook since it fits your requirements but want a tablet wink.gif

Edit: just pick one http://www.newegg.com/ultrabooks/?Tpk=ultrabook that fits your needs.
