Never made my own computer - Page 4

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136769 is cheaper and faster. Usually I don't like using faster drives for storage, but the price drops are making it worth it.

Could you remind me of the rig please?
Also, the vertex 3 is a poor choice. It's SF.

Then tell me which SSD is good?

Alright then, I checked out the chassis now
NZXT SWITCH 810 White CA-SW810-W1 Steel / Plastic ATX HYBRID Full Tower Gaming Computer Case
Looks like a really good case.

I just can't figure out how I can tell if all my parts will fit in it.
Especially with the CORSAIR H100 (CWCH100) Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

Or if you can recommend a better chassis I'd appreciate that.
Last thing after that is finding what my power supply is going to be.

Then I think I have all the basic parts until I save up for my sound card.

Let me know what you think.

OK. Now we cooking with gas.

The NZXT SWITCH 810 is a beautiful case. Easy to work with and easy to cool. It is big mind. You wont be moving it often will you?

Unless you have seval external storage options you will need more than 500GB hard drive. This one looks interesting: Western Digital RE4 WD1003FBYX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Enterprise Hard Drive

Yes, you could pick a better SSD. Myself I am cheep and would buy the Adata but the OCZ Vertex 4 would have been a better choice from my list. The Samsung is an interesting choice. It was on sale yesterday only for $89.99. If you can get it at that price grab it now!

Power smile.gif Look in my sig. You will see a link to a power supply program. Run it and see what it says with your hardware. It is here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1140534/psu-calc-final-release/0_100

Just don't blow up a bunch of balloons or rub your feet on the carpet right before you build it, I did it once and the static discharge shot sparks out and it fried everything even my cell phone.

I have 30 TB in external storage over several enclosed external hard drives.
I'll be using an antistatic wristband and I might go as far as getting a plastic or rubber office mat since I don't have a large wooden desk that I can work on..

I currently have one heavy old fashion monitor, of which I can work with until I can afford better, affordable, lightweight monitors.
If there is anything special I should know about monitors please inform me.

The power checker doesn't have AMD Firepro, how should I go about using that then?
