I currently have one heavy old fashion monitor, of which I can work with until I can afford better, affordable, lightweight monitors.
If there is anything special I should know about monitors please inform me.
The power checker doesn't have AMD Firepro, how should I go about using that then?
nice storage... wish I could say the same.

from a quick google search it looks like the AMD firepro v4900 uses <75w at max load. if you OC it at all I would say call it 100w give or take a little and use that for your calculations

Oh. I will get the authors to look at workstation cards. Try it with your best non-workstation card choice. The workstation should be about the same. So use a 7850 or so and go with that recommendation.

That is a lot of external storage! In that case, you may not need an internal HD at all. But at 69$ that one linked to would be easy to buy. It is mostly your decision. But also look, are all the externals usb2? fire-wire? Make sure you have enough connections on the case and mobo to use them properly. But that is minor, sounds like you are fine.

Don't worry too much about static. Just don't do crazy shuffle dances on carpet or something. Unless you have a lot of shocks in your home. Just touching the case often is enough for most things.

After those calculations it says I should use 400w maximum for my PSU, that can't be right.

I'm also planning to have a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD 24-bit 96KHz PCI Express x1 Interface Sound Card powered by THX TruStudio Pro
In there, I'm not sure how much watts it needs either.

what are the dangers of under-powering a computer?

should I just get something like a 600w PSU with 80 plus gold?

Edit: Kip69 - that calculation brought me to 480w, looks more realistic.

So that means you can buy a nice 6 to 8 hundred supply and be happy. Even some of the better 500s will be fine for you. Or another way to put it is, don't go crazy and buy super huge power thinking you need it. Heck, you could even buy the sesonic passive supply and be quiet, you have a lot of options.

SeaSonic X Series X650 Gold ((SS-650KM Active PFC F3)) 650W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

I don't think it's the passive power supply you mentioned, but it's got promising specs.

I was told that Windows7 wont be given drivers for side-brands as it updates if those boards aren't popular or allot weren't sold

I wouldn't like to be left with unsupported hardware.
The motherboard I picked; GIGABYTE GA-Z77-D3H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
doesn't seem to be very popular.

So I should find a name brand MOBO or at least one that is sold allot.
...I need to find something along the lines of a "LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard"

namely two PCI's

Correct me if I'm wrong about this.

LOL. The Gigabyte is a main board from a top tear maker. It is fully supported. I can say that with out even looking it up.
If not, they have great drivers themselves. Don't worry non about that
