I think you made a big mistake, shouldve emailed Corsair and had em send you a new fan.

Well there was a slight chance I might get the same issue (like my buddy's 1100 top fan) so I just bought the 690 II which was the case I planned on buying from the beginning. I pretty much bought the 500R on impulse since my hands on experience on the 690 II display wasn't well but it was worth it since I got the updated version with bigger cpu cutout and rubber grommets.

What am I missing out on the 500R? Waiting for a replacement fan could take weeks an I'm still within the return period so I took the faster way.

you're missing out on a better case and the fan would almost definitely be replaced within a week. corsair's cs outclasses CM by a mile.

Antec 1100-Has a very boring mesh look, expensive for such a cheaply made case imo.

Corsair 300r-Nice, interesting and original look

CM HAF 922-Nice airflow, plenty of fan mounts, no painted interior though.

Zalman Z11 Plus-God, that thing is a complete toy imo. I have the z9 and this thing is pretty garbage in looks to say the least. Very plastic feeling, with a very egotistical Z mentioning all over the case. The z11 is a rehash with even more plastic and leds!

If I was you I would get the 690II Black and White version, or the Corsair 300r. Both have different looks, and are nice cases.

edit: well derp me I forgot to read the post date, I'll leave that jazz up there in case anyone is looking through posts though.

Hmm what makes the 500R superior to the 690 II? Convince me to dwell on my mistake...

Yeah and I am sure that Coolermaster's customer support is just downright horrible huh? That must be the reason they are still selling many quality cases today! It makes perfect sense when you read that sentence upside down!

You do realize that there is a 40-50 dollar difference between these cases?

also read the thread. op had a 500r bought within his budget. and also

the 500r is $110 on NCIX and the 690 II is $92

you are accusing me of sharing opinions when you cannot even get the facts straight.
