[UHI] 5 High-quality PC speaker sets - Review - Page 12

Sadly all these sets are overpriced in Aus pricing frown.gif

I am using Logitech 5.1 X530's with a Creative Soundblaster X-FI Titanium, the bass is overdone (how I like it though) and the speakers ain't much, but for $90AUD its good value.

SP2500's nudge almost $300AUD

Swan M10 and M50w are $150 and $320 respectively.

The M60 5.1 set is almost 1k -_-

Personally if you want something good and big, you don't get a consumer based product. You can get nice industrial based systems on the low if you know the outlets and the brands. The problem is, you don't get those in stores. I don't like buying stuff off a shelf, it's normally over priced (even online) and not worth it. I'll go for digital out, preferably optical, with a nice reciever and my own speaker set. Why? Control, I can set up a custom system perfectly to my liking.

Once I tried surround sound with a few of my FPS games, I could never go back, even if the sound quality coming out of the speakers was only half as good.

yeah surround is probably better for gaming. but headphones are better for competitive fps for sure. youll get much better details, so people cant sneak up on you.
