Just wanted to say that I am sorry to hear about your trouble with your card :/ You should have been glued to the computer by the sheer force of awesome that card must provide, and it really sucks that you have been having such difficulty..

On the other hand, customer service like what you have received from EVGA is what convinced me to go with them for my latest build (first build in many years) for my GTX670 FTW and I don't regret it! Now to get my Heatkiller block and backplate...

robertevanshine, I also decided to go with HC blocks, in fact since about the middle of June I was trying to buy two 690 HC, but unsuccessfully....as they are never in stock. So I took the advice of others and purchased two aircooled ones. Initially, my plan was to find two EVGA waterblocks, but just like you, I have grown tired of finding them.
Apart from this obviously ballsup with slightly over length screws, the absolute continuance of GPU blocks bearing the EVGA mark is a bit disconcerting.
I was always hunting for 690 stuff, but after seeing out of stock signs in all sites that normally stock them, I decided to check whether it was just 690 stuff....or whether this problem was across the board.
It was then that I discovered that 680 EVGA water blocks were also suffering the same fate.

So what conclusion can we draw.......Is Swiftech having big problems......is there some EVGA/Swiftech problem........who knows.

The bottom line is that I will be using another manufacturer's water blocks, and if the two EVGA backplates I purchased do not fit with them, then their backplates as well.
