MSI R7850 Twin Frozr or Other?

Hi all,

Looking into getting a 7850 but I have done some research and not really sure which brand to go with. I've looked up ASUS, SAPPHIRE, Gigabyte, HIS and MSI.

My first choice was the Asus for $249.99 at Amazon (HD7850-DC2-2GD5)
But they have been out of stock the last week I have been checking.

Today there is a one day special at Newegg for the MSI R7850 Twin Frozr for $239.99 plus a $30 mail in rebate which brings it to $209.99.

I also have been trying to look for some open boxes on Newegg but haven't had any luck with that.

Should I continue to shop around and wait for better deals or wait for the Asus to come in stock, who knows when is that. Or should I jump on the MSI deal today?
Yeah Buddy!

The HIS IceQ X H785QN2G2M price is lowered on Amazon as well to $249.99 plus a $10 rebate. Regular price is 264.99.

Hmmm the choices!?!?!

Most 7850s are reference, so the difference between the cards are usually only the cooler and warranty. If one of your selections of a 7850 has a LARGER pcb and you have the room to accommodate it, I would suggest for you to get that. The longer 7850s are usually 7870s with a couple of things disabled; usually they have more quality components or have them in a larger quantity.

My personal suggestion would be to get the MSI Twnfrzr 7850 if a longer PCB 7850 isn't available. They also hold true to the rebates, I filled out two rebates on a MSI 6850 Cyclone ("1 per household") and I got BOTH rebates back thumb.gif But the other GPU manufacturers are also reputable companies. I didn't get my HIS rebate for my 4850 IceQ4, and I kinda hate their customer support, -1 for that, but it really is only company preference.

That TFIII for $209.99 after rebate is the one you should go for; it's a good card, and that price is fantastic for the performance you get.
Normally the nicer 7850s are closer to $270+ and get dangerously close to 7870 pricing (which can dip as low as $290).
