You should keep a min framerate of 30 on High with no AA and FXAA enabled. On ultra, your fps wll be far too low on that system. For me to run ultra, I have to have 2 7970's in corssfire. I would suggest a 7870 as minimum to run the game ona mixture of Ultra and High settings with no MSAA and High FXAA for keep a solid 40+ fps. This would also involve you overclocking the 7870.

A 7850 will give you 30 frames on average if you run the game on High, with no AA and low FXAA.
I suggest you buy a 7970 so you can run the game better on high settings and high FXAA. You might be able to notch up the odd setting or two to ultra and you are looking at around 40 frames per seond.

Higher the frames, the smoother and better the game will play for you.

I'm viewing the mobile forum so I can't see your sig rig, but your CPU must bottleneck you then, right? I run on Ultra with everything maxed (AA, etc.) on a single 7970...

This benchmark disagrees, and its 4 month old drivers. Now, online will yield less frames than the regular single player, but it gives you an idea. There is no way you need crossfire 7970s to play at 1080P ultra.

I don't know what parts you are buying and their costs, but if you could squeak in a 7950, even a 7870, I think it would be worth it. You would be fine with a quad core AMD if its cheaper, but you would have to check your prices.

Edit: Don't worry about running every setting at absolute max, but if you could play at the high preset, or even ultra with turning AA and AF down, you'll still be in good shape.

I'm sorry I just realised I suggested a 7970. I ment a 7870! From here, you can overclock it and it should be able to give you a stable and decent frame rate on high settings with FXAA. I fear that the 7850 is too weak.

You're gonna want 8gb of RAM as well. As for video card, make sure it has a minimum of 2gb of VRAM. My 6950 played smoothly with a mix of high and ultra and ran with vsync and rarely dipped below 60fps. Great card.
