Ok got a build lined up for my friend who wanted some help. I have a few different versions of the same build what do you guys think, is it balanced will he be able to do all he wants with it, that kind of stuff.
He wants primarily to video and photo edit, second is to play games at decent(mid/high0 settings on 1x1080p monitor, lastly he wants storage.
unless I've forgotten something he requires,
CPU - Right now have a BD cpu but will most likely wait till PD

PSU
MOBO
HDD
SSD
MOUSE - this he has picked out and I can not change
KEYBOARD
OS
RAM
DRIVEBAY
AFTERMARKET COOLING

there are $60 mail-in-rebate so the total cost would come to..... about $838. (b4 any combo deals)
I can also get up to $30 by buying 2 parts from micro center... so cost is $808 (before any kind of combos)
Now that has no aftermarket cooling at all and we of coarse want to overclock this
So I have 3 ideas
1. Grab 2 Antec 620 Kuhlers ($120) and do "the red mod" with the help of the always awesome Dwood and hope that combo deals can make up for the extra $ that would be spent
2. Grab 1 Antec 620 and only use on the cpu, in which case we would be right on budget,
3. Grab 1 Antec 620 and 1 CM hyper 212 evo and with combo most likely be on budget
Ok so what do you guys think? balanced? horrid? beautiful?
