When the Steam store was introduce in AU in 2009, the AUD was much lower then the USD. $1USD = $0.6AUD. So to charge $90AUD for the same game that cost $60USD was pretty much the same, after you took the exchange rate into consideration.

But since 2009, the AUD to USD has been on a steady climb, yet Steam has not made any changes to the Store pricing policy for Australians inline with the AUD's increasing value.

In Dec 2010 the AUD reached parity with the USD, so $1USD = $1AUD, but Steam still didn't change it's Store pricing policy for Australians. Instead, Steam has continued to rip Australian's off.

Aussies have been complaining about it for years and Steam has done nothing to change it's Store policy for Australians.

Steam does whatever it likes because there are no real alternatives to challenge them on pricing to keep the prices low.

As much as I don't like it, the buisness practice is here to stay - and in another 2-3 years, most developers will have adopted a Blizzard Style Anti-cheat/drm.

I'm confused on what you mean when you say "*cough* premium *cough*". If you are trying to reference BF3 then yes that is the same crap as CoD now, essentially charging $100 for the complete BF3 game. You seem to think i'm a bf3 fanboy or somthing just because I hate cod......I have bf3, but I don't even play it much. Just as I have CoD and CoD:UO and CoD2 and CoD4.

Although I won't be buying another BF3 game until it is properly reviewed. I gave dice/ea one chance and they screwed it up big time. Just like activision screwed up cod after cod4. I won't even consider buying another cod game until they at least try to go back to their roots.

Games honestly need to get rid of DLC, ship with mod tools, and an already complete game.

Actually, if you weren't focused about being so hostile you would see that my comment doesn't go against yours.

This is the way the industry has been, and will continue to move to. In about 10-15 years, F2P will be the majority, and "pay once" will be the minority.

Not for Aussies - when I said $90 for the latest cod games, I really meant $90 just for those games. Map packs are an additional cost on top.

The story looks so god.. darn awesome. It's Treyarch doing what they're good at, delivering epic over the top storylines.

However what we've seen from the Gameplay (In E3 and such) looks no different really. I'll be getting this game for what appears to be a epic single player campaign but that's really it...

I also love the guys complaining about the graphics, and some even saying that they aren't playing the game cause of that. They are truly a lost cause, and give us normal video gamers a bad name.
