Also I don't think this matters but, I am running Pyscripter off PortaPython because I need to be able to work off my USB.
Yes in the ideal conditions I don't want to cause an infinite loop, but I would like to know if I can stop the execution of the program without losing work before I use the program.
I also just tried this and it resulted in a program crash as well. I am thinking it may have something to do with me running it off a USB stick.

That's weird. When I use my Hello World code, it doesn't hang or anything but when I use your code, it starts off fine but eventually PyScripter stops responding if CTRL + F2 is not pressed within the first 5 - 10 seconds of execution.

Maybe memory gets filled up? It happens with the Hello World program too but when this happens, the interpreter re-initialises itself automatically unlike with your code, when PyScripter stops responding before the interpreter re-initialises itself.

I'll try this with IDLE (the default Python IDE) and post results.
