Also, they should have included minimum fps too. Fluctuation = bad, I'd rather take a card that keeps stable 50-60 than one that gives 40-70.

This ^

I would take a more stable, and slightly lower frame rate, than a unstable but higher frame rate. I would have loved to see the minimum frames in this review, they would be very telling.

OP the 7970 GE is listed but I don't see it in the review?

I suggest you get off your attitude and learn more about what you are talking. Its a well known fact that BF3 is a GAMING EVOLVED title as is listed in AMD Gaming Evolved partners page.

here is a interview with DICE employee where its indicated that DICE worked with AMD for Eyefinity support out of the box.
http://amd-member.com/Newsletters/AMDGame/Nov11_Battlefield3.html
And if you didn't know AMD provides only GAMING EVOLVED titles for free with the purchase of their graphics cards.

So did Nvidia, what's your point?
http://www.geforce.com/games-applications/pc-games/battlefield-3/deals-promotions

Another thing is you don't see the AMD or Nvidia logo splash screens during start up that are "typical" of AMD or Nvidia games (Crysis2; Batman, Metro 2033, Deus Ex & Dirt 3 ect...) And if you own a retail copy of BF3 like I do, you'll see both the TWIMTBP and Gaming Evolved logos on the back of the box, which also isn't typical of a straight forward TWIMTBP or Gaming Evolved title.

Battlefield 3 was arguably the biggest PC release of 2011. So Dice decided to work closely with Nvidia and AMD to bring the best gaming experience/optimization possible.

The fact of the matter is BF3 runs a lot better on Geforce cards vs Radeons.

I really like the 670 and I would grab one in my upgrade...but... there's this thing in my mind... telling me I need a 680 instead.... must fight

debatable. Depending on the review you are getting your info from it goes either way especially at 1600p , where these cards don't hit 60 fps.

Both the 7970 GHz and the 680 currently perform just about the same in BF3. Now, you could have said that the 680 was better when it came out, but AMD's drivers have matured quite nicely, and the GHz edition (or regular 7970s at ~1000MHz+) have allowed it to catch up to the 680.

As far as the game boxes you put up (put them in spoilers please):

Crysis 2: AMD/NV-within margin of error
Deus Ex: AMD
Dirt 3: AMD
Metro: AMD
Batman: NV
BF3: AMD/NV- within margin of error

^ You can only use that excuse @ 1600p...AMD still gets beat decisively at 1080p/1200p.
