Project 3770k *De-lid and apply Liquid PRO* also lapped. - Page 10

Again? I guess I got lucky..The temps lowered a bit..No liquid pro stuff..AS5 (cuz I have a big tube of it)
There's a thread with better results somewhere..http://www.overclock.net/t/1283797/ivy-bridge-3770k-de-lid-liquid-pro-as-5-tested-amazing-results

and my meh results redface.gif http://www.overclock.net/t/1286994/schmuckleys-delidding-of-3570k/0_20

I wouldn't recommend IC diamond..It's been known to abrade IHS's ..Diamonds cut glass.Silicon=glass.
I feel at home here with a fellow chip destroyer! helpinghand.gif
Don't worry..I took a grinder to a 2500K to delid it..and stuck my Zosma in a pan ..blistered the pcb.
Renairy..Are you going to try again?Might as well make it $1000
I would use the taped-up double sided Wilkinson blade next time whistle.gif

Up for sale for dirt cheap z68 fatal1ty.. Some vengence ram. Or maybe i should do a freebie bananza. Idk

Freebie to the first person to quote you? wink.gif

Oh wait... tongue.gif
You should sell the board on eBay and get the most possible for it, you'll get more for it there then what you will here where people know exactly what it's worth wink.gif
As for the RAM re-use it? May I ask why 3930k?

You put a Zosma!!! (960t) in a pan? WHY? redface.gif
Why did you try to delid the 2500k? A grinder obviously wasn't going to work.. Wow I've destroyed one thing in my entire life and that was a cheap shoddy old socket 775 motherboard from the Education department.. Luckily I bought 2 computers and had a spare board! wink.gif

3930k is 2011... Beast of a CPU isn't it?
I know it will require more juice but at least intel didnt negect it with the ***** they used on the 3770k.
Im pretty disapointed that i and other owners had to go to certain extremes to somewhat fix intels big abomination.
I think they purposely nerfed the overclocking capabilities of the 3770k so it doesnt over perform and potentially damage the X79 market.
This alone is a nice slap in the face, and tonight i copped it on both cheeks..

I agree with your obligations here, but I can't afford a 3820/3930k.. Hence why I'm rolling with the i5. What I don't get is why the x79 platform is still on 32nm and Ivy is on 22nm? It'd make more sense to release the 22nm on the enthusiast platform first....

But you're right, I even talked to the guy at the local computer shop about it.. How a 2600k at 5GHz would almost beat the 980x for less than half the price. How the i7 920 was beaten by a i7 870 etc and the only people that bought 1366 after 1156 was out were people that wanted cheap servers, I think Intel's just gotten smart and done this to produce more revenue.. I mean it doesn't cost them a cent more to make a 3960x over a i3 2100.. (maybe they bin more), but still.

If I had the money I'd have a 3930k and dual 670's/7950's.. But I think that's what the world works with nowadays, Money.

Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra is better then the Pro thumb.gif.
