i am just about to order my PC, i want to know if the kingston hyperx 3k is worth the money or not, keep in mind i unfortunattly cant get any crucial SSD because they do not ship it to UAE, same gores to OCZ and i all Intel's SSD's are way too over priced, almost all computer hardware here are overpriced anyways, thanks alot guys

Yes. The curent gen of drives there is not much between them. Buy the biggest one you can afford or the biggest one you find on sale smile.gif

You can look here or
Quote:
The Marvell-based Corsair and Plextor are better at reading, while the OCZ is better at writing. The Vertex 4 is our first choice, due to it's low price. If you prefer a SandForce-based SSD, then you have the choice between a number of models that perform equally well: A-Data XPG SX900, Corsair Force GT 240GB, OCZ Vertex 3 240GB and Kingston HyperX 3K. The advantage of the A-Data SSD is that you get 256 GB instead of 240 GB.

In order of best choice on that review:

OCZ Vertex 4 256GBCorsair Performance Pro 256GB
Corsair Performance Pro 128GB
Plextor M3 Pro 256GB

Adata XPG SX900 128GB
Crucial m4 128GB
Crucial m4 256GB

If you can get and afford the Plextor M3 Pro get that, but the Kingston will do you fine. As a mater of disclosure, I bought a "Talent" brand drive for myself. Its a Local Taiwan company that no one had heard of. It preforms at the same level as all of these mentioned above as well.

I wouldn't get one. Check out my recommended ones here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1179518/seans-ssd-buyers-guide-information-thread#user_SeansrecommendedSSDs

Depending on the size of the drive the normal M3 will perform very very similar to the M3 Pro. You can save some $ there. Also, there is the Samsung 830 you can check out too.
