I'll put it this way - if it weren't for Steam sales, I wouldn't have spent more than $1.5k ALONE on Steam in the past 2-and-a-smidge years, and that's just the net worth of my Steam library. When BFBC2 went on sale for $20 with Vietnam and SPECACT, I bought that for at least 15 people. I have not bought a single thing on Origin, and the only games that I have activated are BF3 and The Sims 3. So shove that in your greedy piehole, EA.

I seriously cannot imagine a worse business move than basically saying that your company is against having sales. The guy from EA should be fired for saying that. He won't be though because I'm sure that's how the rest of EA looks at the industry as well.

That has got to be one of the dumbest quotes of all time. Honestly, what could he possibly have been thinking?? Did he think he was going to get a good reaction from this? I'm sure there are some great people that work for EA, so I know I shouldn't say this, but these are the types of companies that should go bankrupt.

I really want NHL 13, but it's this kind of "I don't care about the customer at all" attitude that makes me really want to skip this whole company.

That article... so awesome. And SO true.

I probably have 100 games that I picked up on random Steam sales and LOVE them. Without Steam, I would have NEVER played them. For example, I picked up X3 on steam. Loved the game so much... Noticed there is a NEW one coming out. Guarantee I'll be getting X3:Rebirth next. Without the sales, I probably would have never picked up X3 to try it out.

Cheers Valve.

If I was not forced into using Steam or Origin to play certain games, I would never install either of those programs. The fact that PC gamers have to use an additional program to play a game is completely unnecessary. The only thing Steam is good for is their sales for me. Origin sales well there terrible for the most part and any game they have on sale can normally be found cheaper on steam, amazon or gamestop. EA if you want to compete with steam you need to have some Steam like sales. I dread the day when every publisher has their own "Steam or Origin" software that is needed to play their game.

I'm pretty surprised no one's embedded EA in a nutshell.
