Case Labs HTPC?

Thread Starter
Just a thought. With as nice as most of the cases are I think they'd make beautiful HTPC cases. Although not sure if there would be enough of a market for them. But it would still be great for a larger HTPC case and have the customization that most Case Labs cases have. And it would likely beat any Silverstone or Lian Li HTPC with all the wasted space they have in them ( aside from a few models, but most have a ton of unused and wasted space ).

I like the idea of HTPC with MATX case.

I would totally go a HTPC case. All it would need to fit is one 360 and a 120 and I would be happy. However, I guess it would depend on what you wanted to do with a HTPC but I wouldnt be using it for heavy gaming in the least.

My ps3 is just so LOUD....get me a cool and quiet running HTPC and I would be happy.

It will probably be awhile before we attempted something like that. We try to stay away from small high volume products because right now it's too hard to compete with China on things like that. Once we get our ducks better lined up, I'll be less concerned. Despite what our grossly overpaid CEO's believe, it is possible to compete with China and win.

There's still an open market for rack cases for home use. Make them shallower (less deep) and high enough for proper size fans (silence). I can't find any perfect ones, not even near. Could be a HTPC case with add-on rack ears.

Now a Case Labs rack case would be just the ticket for me. I am planning on going rack mount on everything, bit I can never seem to find exactly the right case with the right features and stuff in the right place, so a more modular case that can be customized to fit the functions I need it to would be great.

since we are on the topic of racks....

I am a pretty big audiophile and was thinking to myself how cool it would be to watercool the amplifiers. just think, McIntosh samps with some liguid cooling blocks on the heatsinks, clear tubing and just a dash of blue color to the water to go with the blu meters! SEXY!

I am hoping that even one of the smaller merlin cases will be a good size for a HTPC really, I dont need to it look like a component like so many others do....
