570 is perfectly good at 1080p? Yeah, if you run on medium with low AA on the latest games. He might as well get 2 of them seen as the price is so good right now. Plus, the i5 will save cash to cover for a decent mobo, ram kit and psu.
i think he was just stating quickly that there is no performance boost from i5 to i7 for gaming.

It says Sata III. Will a sata II run it?

you might as well flush your money down the toilet. if it isn't a M4 or Samsung 830 don't buy it.
i personally have the samsung.

new mother board, ssd, cpu, ram, psu, heat sink, and maybe case to tie it all up.
get the i5 cpu as the i7 just adds hyper threading for a lot more money and does nothing for gaming.

your newer games are limited by that entire computer. adding an ssd will help with load times and nothing more. you shouldn't see any fps increases from using a ssd.
ram is another critical factor, load up on it, for a gaming pc, i say no less than 8gb.

my pc is mostly just a internet surfing and 720p video player but i have 16gb of ram, so if i want i can toss 8gb of that to a ramdrive and do other tasks quicker than on the ssd

And I don't want to suggest a rubbish SSD lol. He can get an i5 + Z68 mobo + 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM for cheap.

Yeah, he can. To keep the cost low, I suggest an Agility 3 or Crucial M4 on top of the bundle I've suggested. They are far from rubbish SSD's!
